FAQ: Veelgestelde vragen over binnenbanden
Welke maat binnenband heb ik nodig?
De maat die je nodig hebt, staat altijd op de zijkant van je buitenband. Zoek naar de ETRTO-maat (bv. 28-622) of de inch/Franse maat (bv. 29 x 2.25 of 700x28c). Een binnenband heeft altijd een range (bv. 700x25-32c). Zolang de maat van je buitenband binnen deze range valt, past de binnenband.
Wat is het verschil tussen een Butyl en een Latex binnenband?
Butyl is het standaard, zwarte rubber. Het is robuust, houdt lucht goed vast en is betaalbaar. Latex (vaak roze of naturel van kleur) is lichter, soepeler en heeft een lagere rolweerstand. Het nadeel is dat latex 'poreuzer' is en sneller lucht verliest, waardoor je de band vaker moet oppompen. Het is vooral populair bij wedstrijdrijders.
